Planting at the Temple

The youth in our ward were invited to help clean up at the DC temple and get it ready for Christmas.  We had a great turnout with almost all of the YW and YM going down to help out.  We were asked to plant bushes along the hill outside the temple.  The youth easily planted 50 different plants, and they did an awesome job.  Wes was taking his OITE, so the kids were stuck with me.  Good thing they love going to the temple and love being outside.  They were so good and loved helping out the youth with the planting.  The girls were so sweet with Charlie letting him "help" them out.  He had so much fun and was so happy.  Reese loved picking up leaves and had a bouquet of about 25 leaves in her hand at one point.  The kids were exhausted after our time at the temple, and both were asleep between 5 and 15 minutes after we left.  It was a good adventure for them, and they'll always be able to look at that hill and remember they helped with the plants along that road.
