Hersheypark!!!

Kelley said it was about time that we went to Hersheypark, so we went this past weekend and had a great time! We went before lunch and fought the crowds to get into the park. I think that we ended up parking a mile from the park itself. The park had trolleys that would pick you up and drop you off near the ticket booth at the front of the park. We decided that one day wouldn't be enough this summer, so we bought three day passes and were off to the rides. Our first ride was Great Bear and it became our favorite. This ride lets your feet hang free and takes up up the steep incline for a sudden drop at over 60 mph. The ride then took us for loops and barrel rolls until your not too sure which way is up or down. While exiting from the ride, we walked like drunken sailors as we tacked down the ramp to the park. We then ran from ride to ride getting on anything that looked scary. Another favorite was Sidewinder, a roller coaster that was an out and back ride that is full of loops and has a pretty wicked twist to it. First you go frontwards and then you come to a stop on a steep piece of track and then you go in reverse! Kelley had her eyes shut the whole way back to the exit platform on the reverse run! We then ran over to another ride called Storm Chaser. This ride accelerates to 75 mph from a dead stop in 2 seconds and then you find yourself 150 feet in the air where it twist and turns and loops. AHHHH!!! The rides even had my own stoic self shrieking like a little kid! We had a great time. We will probably head back after our trip to Utah.
