We had visitors!

Rich and Judy came out to explore where their "Princess" and favorite son-in-law live, October 11th-17th. We had a great time visiting Chocolate World, the Liberty Bell, the King of Prussia Mall and last but not least, Intercourse PA. I don't really know what happened too much the first few days because I was busily preparing for my Pulmonary Medicine exam, but managed to go to dinner with them a few times. Saturday, we headed down to Philadelphia. It was a really big adventure that included Lancaster County on accident, Northeast Philly by surprise. It took me a good three hours to arrive at our destination that normally would take someone that Mapquested it two. Anyway, we made it there and were able to enjoy Ben Franklin's old stomping grounds and we picked up some authentic Philly Steak and Cheese sandwiches w/cheese whiz at Sonny's. We made it in to see the bell, but managed to just barely miss out on a tour of Independence Hall due to my stellar navigational skills and PA's roads that seem to have been designed by an abstract artist. On our way out of town we were able to see the steps to the art museum, made famous by the Rocky films, six times. On the way back we stopped at the King of Prussia mall. I had never been there before. It is supposed to be the second largest mall in the US. We trolled around the mall for a few hours and found some cool stuff. Sunday, we took Rich and Judy to visit our ward. It was fast and testimony meeting and it ended up being a really good meeting. We were a little worried due to the random nature of fast and testimony meeting that it might not represent our ward well. For the third hour, Rich and Judy went to our classes and were able to see us in action. That night, Kelley made her famous enchiladas and we hung out and talked that evening. Monday, we went to the bustling Amish metropolis Intercourse in Lancaster County. Monday was kind of an off day for the community, so there were young boys tilling the fields with horses and black buggies alternating with horse drawn tourist buggies on the roads. We were able to find some neat things in a few stores for Christmas. Kelley found a fat snowman and Judy found a Santa shelf sitter (don't try to say that three times fast). That night we just couldn't resist and went to the Hershey Pantry for the second time. It is our favorite place to go here and quickly became a favorite with Rich and Judy. I had class all day on Tuesday, but Kelley took them down to Chocolate World. They were asked to taste test some dark chocolate after the tour. On Wednesday we had to take them back to the airport. We really enjoyed having them out!!! Rich and Judy, thanks again for coming out and having fun with us!!!
