Yesterday, we were invited to join the Crawfords, our neighbors, and their extended family for a "birthday party" at Knoebels Amusement Park. Len's brother turned 30 the same day as Wes and wanted the excuse to get people together. I had been wanting to check Knoebels out because you only pay for the rides you want to go on; everything else, like parking and admittance, is free. We knew Charlie would have fun with Anna, so although the weather was iffy threatening rain, we decided to risk it. It's a pretty 90 minute drive into the middle of PA, and we hit some pretty dense fog both coming and going, but the setting is really pretty. It's a bit on the ghetto side for amusement parks (you should have seen some of the outfits, or lack of, we came across), but of course we are spoiled with HersheyPark five minutes away. Once we figured out where the pavilion for the party was, grabbed some food, and waited for a small rainstorm to lighten up, we hit the rides with Charlie and Anna. Boy did they have fun together. They were so cute sitting on all the rides together. Charlie wasn't nervous at all with Anna by his side. And there is a plethora of rides to choose from. We ended up staying until almost closing time, which we didn't think we would do, but Charlie was having way too much fun. We'll definitely have to go again.
