We had a great weekend. Wes was off for his birthday weekend (except for rounding on his birthday) so we got to spend a lot of time together as a family. We went to grab a quick bite to eat on Friday night and ended up at Subway. I got the kids a 6" ham sub to split, which is often what they'll eat. Charlie was still hungry, so we got another 6" sub expecting him to eat just a couple more bites. He ended up eating the whole thing, so he ate 10" total. Plus he drank his 12 oz of chocolate milk and some of my lemonade, and he ate a cupcake later too. We couldn't believe it. He's never eaten that much before. His belly was definitely full when we put his pjs on that night.
It was General Conference weekend too, and Charlie was very excited to see President Monson and President Eyring on the television. The kids actually did great and played quietly so Wes and I could listen. It's been quite a while since I've been able to watch all four sessions without huge interruptions. It was nice. And the kids got to go outside and play during the breaks, which made them very happy. Reese hates coming in from playing. She throws a huge fit each time she comes in. Good thing it's suppose to be warm this whole week and we can go out a play a lot.

Wes's birthday was on Sunday, and he had a fairly low-key day. We had cinnamon rolls for a second breakfast and a yummy dinner of salmon, shrimp, and quinoa. Wes requested a cheesecake, so I made one with a chocolate swirl. It was yummy, and the kids gobbled up their small portions. We definitely had a lot of good food. I hope Wes had a nice birthday. He sure is loved by his kids, and he makes me very happy.
