There's something about the 4th of July that I just love. It screams summer, heat, BBQs, and fireworks. Wes was working this year, but we were able to enjoy our ward pancake breakfast at Shank Park. The kids gobbled up several pancakes and had fun playing on the playground. That afternoon, we went to the Updegroves and had a great time chatting, eating, and watching the kids play. They had fun with the water table, tricycles, and every other toy they came in contact with. We didn't stay up late enough to watch the fireworks - maybe next year - but we had a great day celebrating our country.
