Christmas

Christmas is here.  Charlie has been counting down, and both kids are so excited.  Wes had to round in the morning, but he went in early and was home by 7:30.  The kids themselves didn't wake up until after 7 AM, so we were just snuggling in bed waiting for dad to get home.  We quickly got ready and then made a yummy French toast breakfast before we let the kids open gifts.  They were antsy, but they also were patient enough.  It was a nice Christmas morning opening gifts.  Charlie was so excited to be opening presents he'd rush through not really paying attention to what he was getting. But he was all smiles.  Both kids were happy with what they got, and the grandparents definitely spoiled them  We missed being with any extended family, but it was a nice and peaceful morning.  The kids just played all day, and then about 4 PM, we went to the Updegrove's for dinner.  It was so very nice of them to invite us to dinner.  It was fun to see the kids play together, and dinner itself was so delicious.  It was nice to have a few hours out of the house with such good friends.  All in all, it was a great Christmas for us all.
